Clay McEldowney Inducted into the EIWA Hall of Fame
Fourteen Princeton wrestlers, including three this season, have placed at the EIWA Championships over the last four years. Princeton Orchestra hosted by David Fisher '69 in Weisbaden
Classmate David Fisher reports: The year started out very busy for us. The Princeton University Orchestra is currently on a European tour. Étel arranged for them to play a concert in the market church in Wiesbaden, which is also known as the Cathedral of the Land of Nassau. Attached is a photo of the orchestra in the church and one of myself, Étel, the conductor, Michael Pratt, and the soloist, Martha Eliott. The concert was a huge success with a record turnout. The skill level of Princeton's musicians blew everyone's mind and resulted in a spontaneous standing ovation at the end. The concert also got nice reviews in the local press including some good PR for Princeton.
PICS/CSF Launches Facebook Page; Seeks Interviewers
PICS is pleased to announce the launch its Facebook page (click here) just in time to help students navigate through the remainder of the internship application process! One of the big contributions our classmates make to the operation of the program is to interview students for the internships on behalf of sponsors that cannot send their own staff to Princeton. This year the bulk of the interviews will be conducted on two successive Saturdays, February 16 and 23. If you've never done this before it's a great way to meet our fabulous interns on the front end of their experiences and get a real feel for the value of the program. If you have done it before, you already know this. Contact PICS/CSF Executive Director Jeri Schaefer, jeris@princeton.edu. (Posted 1/23/2013)
Note from Climate Central CEO Paul Hanle
The worst drought to strike the U.S. in nearly 50 years came on largely without warning and is still afflicting the nation. Throughout the summer, we at Climate Central continued to inform the public about what has been going on — and, more important, how climate change is making such disasters more likely to strike.
Our mission of conveying objective, science-based information on climate change and how it affects all of us would not be possible without the support of friends like you. Please consider making a contribution to Climate Central today. Click here for the Climate Central web site. (Posted 9/11/2012)
