In the second half of September the Class embarked on its
second European mini-reunion focused primarily on the Rhine Valley but including
trips to many other areas of cultural interest as well as a "prequel” in Berlin
and a "sequel” at the Munich Oktoberfest.
The prospect of visiting the land of vineyards and castles including a
lunch in the Hall of Knights at the original castle of the House of Nassau was
enough to lure 43 class members and spouses to Germany for a rigorous course in
middle European culture under the intellectual leadership of Prof. Michael
Jennings, former Chair of the Princeton’s distinguished Department of Germanic
Languages and Literature. Click here to see the full text-and-photo report of the trip.New Video Feature:Thanks to inveterate photographer Bill Hardy, we have a video montage of this amazing trip. Click here to view the video. | Photo Albums
