Class of 1969's 46th Reunion Activities and Plans
May 28-31, 2015
Register Now
A year after Dancin’
in the Street, we are now preparing for our 46th Reunion. The headquarters site in Holder
Courtyard has been turned over to our youthful friends in the Class of ’70, so
this will be a great opportunity to see not only our own Classmates but your friends
from ’70 as well. Last year, Holder
was the scene of our fabulous 45th and it was a great time with a turnout
of nearly 250 Classmates and about 500 attendees overall. Reunions seem to get bigger and better
every year and last year we did our part to make it so. Also, there are the Alumni-Faculty
Forums, the exhibits and concerts, the One and Only P-rade and everything else
that make Princeton Reunions the envy of all of our peers. In addition, our Class will have its
own activities including:
- Our Class Barbecue, to be held jointly with the
Classes of '68 and '71 in Hamilton Courtyard on Friday evening, May 29 at 6:00
p.m. The brainchild of the Class of
’69, this is the fourth annual multi-class barbecue in that location. You can access Hamilton Courtyard
by walking straight through Holder Courtyard to the smaller courtyard
adjacent to Holder. Just
remember how you used to go to Upper Eagle, Lower Eagle, Upper Cloister,
Lower Cloister and Madison Hall in freshman and sophomore years and you
can’t miss it. It promises to
be an opportunity to get together not only with your own Classmates, but
also with club mates, team mates, dorm mates and those you otherwise knew
from both the Classes of ’68 and ’71. Cost per person: $35.
- Pre-P-rade Hoagie Lunch on Saturday, May 30 at
12:00 noon. We will be in the Class
of 1969 Memorial Garden at Murray-Dodge,
with more opportunity to chat with even more classmates and guests before
taking our place in the One and Only P-rade at 2:00 p.m. Cost per person: $10.
- Class of 1969 Meeting and Dinner on Saturday, May
30, Cocktails at 6:00 p.m., Dinner at 7:15 p.m. Our dinner will be
located in the Class of 1956 Lounge at Princeton Stadium. The Class Dinner will be followed by a brief Class
Meeting and the Princeton Katzenjammers and afterwards we will view the annual Reunions
Fireworks from our excellent vantage point at the Stadium. The Class of 1956 Lounge is
accessed by using the elevator located at Sections 9-10 on the west side
of Princeton Stadium. Cost
per person: $75.
We will join the Class of 1970 for their entertainment
program, music and dancing at the 45th Reunion Headquarters in
Holder Courtyard. They plan to have the Rick Fiori Jazz Quartet on Thursday night, the Fabulous Grease Band on Friday Night and Big Ray and the Kool Kats on Saturday night. We will
of course be able to participate in all other Reunions activities, so take your own tour of the other Reunions sites, attend the Alumni-Faculty Forums and join
some of the other Alumni gatherings and events that appeal to your interests.
Registration
for Class of 1969 activities is open and we encourage you to register in advance. The easiest
and best way to register is right here on the Class website. If you are not
among the 420 classmates who have logged in to the Class website, please do so
and you will find that you can not only quickly and efficiently sign up for
Reunions but you can also access information and photos about the Class and
about Princeton that you may otherwise not be able to access.
When you arrive on campus for Reunions, you should proceed to Alexander Hall where onsite registration will take place for satellite, or off-year, classes. At that time, you should register not only yourself but all guests, whether they are present or not. When your guests arrive, you should direct them to Alexander Hall to receive a wristband. They need not be accompanied by you unless they are minor children. Except for the charges for our Class
meals, there is no charge to attend Reunions for Classmates, one adult guest
and minor (under 21) children or grandchildren. NEW NEW POLICY: You may also register adult children and grandchildren and an
adult child or grandchild’s spouse/partner free of charge. A Classmate may not register additional
adult guests. The hours for onsite registration and wristbanding are: Thursday:
12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m., Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Saturday: 10:00
a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Further information regarding onsite registration and wristbanding policy may be found at the Alumni Association's Reunions 2015 website. Those who have attended off-year Reunions have always had
a lot of fun. This year would be a good time to join them. If this is your first time in a long
time, we will be especially glad to see you!
General information on Reunions 2015 can be found on the Alumni Association Reunions webpage. Information on lodging in the Princeton
area may be obtained by going to the Alumni Association Hotels and Motels webpage.
