Class of 1968 SeminarThe EnvironmentNoon Friday to Noon Saturday, October 2-3, 2015
The Class of 1968 invites members of the Class of 1969 to join them for their annual Seminar on October 2-3, 2015. Our faculty leader, Professor Dan Rubenstein, has our 2015
Seminar topics and professors all scheduled for our 2015 Class of 1968
Seminar. This will be an intense twenty-four
hours of learning for all of us.
Our professors and their
topics are as follows:
Oceans -- Francois Morel (Professor,
Geosciences and Princeton Environmental Institute Director)
Climate Change -- Steve
Pacala (Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology [EEB] & former PEI
Director)
Global Health and the Environment -- Jessica Metcalf (Assistant Professor, Woodrow Wilson School
& EEB)
Water for Sustainable Ecosystems -- Kelly Caylor (Associate Professor, Civil and Environmental
Engineering)
Biodiversity -- David
Wilcove (Professor, Woodrow Wilson School & EEB)
Dealing with Public Goods --
Simon Levin (Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology). He will connect ecology with economics.
Coping with Human Wildlife-Conflict in Kenya -- Dan Rubenstein (Professor, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology
and our fearless faculty leader)
Logistics -- The
seminar will be structured similar to our first five seminars. The seminar will start with lunch on
Friday. The lectures will be held
at the Princeton Theological Seminar close to campus which will also have rooms
available for attendees. The price will be $165 per person.
Friday
night cocktails and dinner will be at The Nassau Club.
After breakfast on Saturday, we will
finish the presentations and wrap up the seminar at noon. As in the past, there will be pre-readings.
The registration package
will come out later in August, but put this on your calendar right now and plan
on joining us in October.
