The Class of 1969 is planning a Class Reception on Princeton's 103rd Alumni Day on Saturday, February 24 at the beautiful and historic Nassau Club, 6 Mercer Street in Princeton beginning at 5:30 p.m. and ending at 6:30 p.m. The reception will include light hors d'oeuvres. The Club is very close to Holder Courtyard and is very convenient to the University. Parking is available at the Club during our reception. The cost for the Class Reception is $30 per person until Tuesday, February 20, after which the price will be raised to $35. Payment at the door will be $40 per person. Please sign up below if you wish to attend.
Alumni Day 2018 promises to be a very interesting day of activities. Featured speakers will be Daniel Mendelsohn *94, who received a Ph.D. in Classics, a noted author and critic whose lecture at 9:00 a.m will be entitled "James Madison, the Classics, Civility - and Cellphones" and Charles Gibson '65, retired anchor of ABC's World News and host of "Good Morning America", whose lecture at 10:15 a.m. will be entitled "Notes from the Anchor Chair". Other interesting lectures by faculty and senior members of the administration will include "The Integration of Immigrants in Europe", "A Window into our Sustainable Future", "Perspectives on Campus Architecture and Planning" and "The Student Experience" as well as the annual Chemistry demonstrations made famous by Professor Hubert Alyea. A reception and luncheon for all alumni will take place at Jadwin Gymnasium during which the awards will be presented. Seating will be by Class so this is an opportunity to greet and talk with your classmates. The Service of Remembrance at 3:00 p.m. is an opportunity to remember those fellow alumni who have been recorded as having passed away in the past year, including the Class of 1969's own Albert Dudley, M.D., James Forstner, M.D., and Thomas Hunter. It is a very moving and emotional tribute to the alumni we have lost. Other events have been planned by the University as described here. If you can attend, you should sign up here. Information about hotels, parking and transportation can be found there as well.
